My 2025 Goals for Knoxville Paralegal Services and Tips for Legal Professionals to Map Their Own

I hope you’ve been having a fantastic holiday season, and that you’re rounding out your best year yet.
As the season of “new year, new me” comes back around, I’ve got a confession: I LOVE setting goals. There’s something so motivating about mapping out where I want to go. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that balancing my professional ambitions with personal fulfillment is KEY to my overall success and happiness.
So basically, setting goals is the secret sauce to balancing the demands of work and life—especially in the legal world, where things get BUSY.
Today I’m sharing my personal & professional goals for 2025—by the end, I hope to inspire you to sit down and create your own roadmap for the year ahead!
Why Goal-Setting Matters for Legal Professionals
The legal field is demanding. Lawyers, paralegals, and other legal professionals like you are all about getting things DONE—briefs, filings, case prep, you name it.
You could also probably guess that the most successful and fulfilled professionals you know… tend to be extremely intentional about where they’re headed.
Thus, if you’re constantly grinding and never stepping back to figure out where you’re going, burnout isn’t just a possibility—it’s almost a guarantee. 🥴
Setting goals isn’t just some fluffy “New Year, New Me” exercise. It’s a way to:
Get CLARITY on what matters
Make time for things that light you up (outside of work)
Actually taking steps towards that big dream you’ve been putting off
Okay, pep talk over. Here are the goals I’m working toward in 2025—both for Knoxville Paralegal Services and for me personally.
My Business Goals for 2025
Create & Build a Digital Sales Item
This has been on my to-do list forever. I’m currently in the process of creating a downloadable guide to serve more legal professionals and share valuable resources with YOU. More on this coming soon!
Continue to Build a Solid Team for Growth
Running a successful business is all about the people. I’m focused on hiring talented, amazing paralegals who make our clients' lives easier.
Implement More Automations Within Airtable
Fun fact: I’m a huge Airtable nerd 🤓. It’s simply the best. Streamlining workflows = more time for us to focus on serving clients (and sneaking in the occasional nap due to all the future time we’ll be saving).
Contract With a Records Retrieval Company for PI Clients
Simplifying processes for personal injury attorneys is a priority. Partnering with a records retrieval company will make life easier for KPS! The constant requests and follow ups and ChartSwap vs. Ciox requests make our head hurt and we are here to simplify.
Expand Services Into North Carolina Growth is on the horizon! Our goal is to bring our expertise to legal professionals in North Carolina, offering the same trusted support that other attorneys nationwide rely on. NC, we’re ready for ya!
My Personal Goals for 2025
Enter the Women’s Singles Nationals Tournament in San Diego Without Qualifiers
If you’re new around here, you should know that tennis is one of my passions—I love everything about it! 🎾 My goal this year is to qualify for nationals based on points earned, rather than qualifying matches. Wish me luck!
Travel Internationally
Nothing beats the inspiration (& food 😋) you get from exploring new places. I loved all the trips I was able to take with my husband and daughter in 2024, but this year I’m craving to travel somewhere abroad. Where should I go in 2025—any recs?
Be More Present
I would say that I’m already quite intentional with this, but I know mindfulness is a lifelong practice. In 2025, I’m making an extra effort to unplug. Put the phone down. Listen. Soak in the moment.
Attend a Wellness Retreat
I believe in exercising both my physical health (hence the tennis) AND my mental health. I think a wellness retreat would be good for me, and I’ve just been finding the right time to do one. I’m picturing yoga, green juice, & probably crying in a circle with strangers (in a good way) 😂
Focus on Family Time
AGAIN, I would say that I’m already quite intentional with this, but there’s always room for more. Whether it’s weekly dinners or a family trip, I’m setting aside more time for the ones I love.
Start Running at the Gym
I know I feel my best when I prioritize my physical activity. I’ve been wanting to find something that isn’t as ~structured~ as tennis, and something I can do solo while still challenging myself. I think running could be justtt the thing! TBD, I’ll keep y’all updated 🏃🏼♀️
